An almost perfect 90 minutes of football.

Leeds edged Everton 1-0 in an entertaining game.
I think Leeds are one of those sides which I really like watching. Defining a whole another level of relentless pressing and attack-minded football. This match was truly special. Everton were not bad either, and had many chances of their own. It was just that Leeds were a bit better.
Yes, so why is it almost perfect 90 minutes ? It was beautiful, free flowing football played at a pace most can only dream of. I might as well think Bayern would envy the stamina of Leeds players. The only thing that missed the mark was finishing. Not that it was not good, it was, but it certainly could have been better. Add to that the goalkeeping masterclass from Pickford and Meslier, it was a delight. The defenses, surprisingly, were on point too. I would only point to the fact that Everton could not handle possession in the midfield and crowded places well. That was where they lost the game. You need to dominate in tight areas to show the quality, and Leeds were just straight better at that.
Again, I am going to say that Barca need to learn from this. Only thinking we need to attack, pass, does not mean we are a great team. We need to mould it in a way that can survive in the modern game. The way Bayern and Leeds have done. Man City have failed at that until now too. But they are too good at the basics and thus, they can perform at decent enough levels.
So, what does that leave us with ? I think inspiration. We should take strides to change. And I hope we will.

That's it then !

Barca: A season to forget- Left Wing/ Midfielder

THE PLAYERS- I am not considering Coutinho and Griezmann Left Wingers. 1. Ansu Fati- An  astoundingly ridiculous revelation this season, Ansu Fati will surely be a major part any success we are * hoping * for. His speed and aggressiveness is always channeled and timed well. He can create something out of very little. This is the quality we were craving for, and we have got it in the form of Ansu.  2. Pedri- I know, he is not a first team member just yet, but that is not to say he won't recieve first time action. I think when Ansu needs rest, Pedri should get some starts against less physical sides like Villarreal. Conclusion- After two seasons after Neymar left, we finally have two very good wingers on both flanks. This is definitely good !

Barca: A season to forget- What needs to change ?

What needs to change, in order to win the champions league this August ? So, I can'y really talk about mentality because I am not aware of the happenings in the dressing room, so, let's talk about tactics. Formations and player roles.  TYPE 1- 4-1-2-1-2 narrow Goalkeeper- Ter Stegen two center backs- Pique and Lenglet/ Pique and Araujo Right back- Semedo Left back- Jordi Alba Holding Midfielder- Sergio Busquets Two Central Midfielders- Riqui Puig and Vidal/De Jong /Rakitic Attacking Midfielder- Messi Two strikers- Suarez and Griezmann/ Fati ( He can definitely play there)               This formation was used in the last five games of league and it was evident that it worked fine only when the opposition was not ultra defensive. Napoli, sadly, is ultra defensive. In this formation, the defence has usual work. In the midfield, Busquets has to stay deep and think attacking. He needs to put ball forward after intercepting passes or gettiing ball...

Barca-1 : RMA -3

Of Course it's the match review.  Look, we played well. If that calms you down, it should not. We need to win to show for it. No matter how many chances are created, until they are put away. Real Madrid were, by far the second best side today. But, they won. Maybe that's because of the VAR decision, but we need to understand that we should have been at least 3-1 up at that point. There's no excuse for that kind of finishing, in an El Clasico, the PREMIER FOOTBALLING SHOWCASE. At least it used to be. Now, there were some things more alarming, and some good ones, but as has been the case this season, finishing remains to be sharp. So, what are the even more negative things ? 1. Busquets. Yeah. I said it before, I will say it again, De Jong and Busquets can't play together. They do not complement each other. For details, click  here  . 2. The day Koeman was appointed, I had one, singular doubt about him. his passiveness. That is what we saw today. Yes, starting Pedri a...
