The best teams of this decade #1

 F.C. BARCELONA

The best team in Europe this decade, according to me, was F.C Barcelona. The trophies are there, the joy of watching beautiful football is there and the single best club team to ever have been built is there. Nothing left to be asked.... except for the dramatic demise of this club in the last two seasons. And this might be the reason for many people putting their choice as Real Madrid, and I can totally understand that, but just remember that they, too, have been so much below their standards.

Trophies-

7 La Ligas

5 Copa Del Rey

5 Supercopa De Espana

2 UEFA Champions League

2 UEFA Supercup

2 FIFA Club World Cup

Runners up-

4 La Ligas (So, top 2 every year of this decade..)

3 Copa Del Reys

3 Supercopa De Espana

That is even more ridiculous, like it or not, than Real Madrid's haul. Add to that 2 Continental Trebles, a season with 5 out of possible 6 trophies, 5 Ballon D'ors, 15 appearances on the podium of the Ballon D'or, numerous Fifpro world 11 appearances, this decade was one to remember if the last few years were cut short a bit. But, they surely need to up their game to compete for those trophies again.

That's it  for the series.

Barca: A season to forget- Left Wing/ Midfielder

THE PLAYERS- I am not considering Coutinho and Griezmann Left Wingers. 1. Ansu Fati- An  astoundingly ridiculous revelation this season, Ansu Fati will surely be a major part any success we are * hoping * for. His speed and aggressiveness is always channeled and timed well. He can create something out of very little. This is the quality we were craving for, and we have got it in the form of Ansu.  2. Pedri- I know, he is not a first team member just yet, but that is not to say he won't recieve first time action. I think when Ansu needs rest, Pedri should get some starts against less physical sides like Villarreal. Conclusion- After two seasons after Neymar left, we finally have two very good wingers on both flanks. This is definitely good !

Barca: A season to forget- What needs to change ?

What needs to change, in order to win the champions league this August ? So, I can'y really talk about mentality because I am not aware of the happenings in the dressing room, so, let's talk about tactics. Formations and player roles.  TYPE 1- 4-1-2-1-2 narrow Goalkeeper- Ter Stegen two center backs- Pique and Lenglet/ Pique and Araujo Right back- Semedo Left back- Jordi Alba Holding Midfielder- Sergio Busquets Two Central Midfielders- Riqui Puig and Vidal/De Jong /Rakitic Attacking Midfielder- Messi Two strikers- Suarez and Griezmann/ Fati ( He can definitely play there)               This formation was used in the last five games of league and it was evident that it worked fine only when the opposition was not ultra defensive. Napoli, sadly, is ultra defensive. In this formation, the defence has usual work. In the midfield, Busquets has to stay deep and think attacking. He needs to put ball forward after intercepting passes or gettiing ball...

Barca-1 : RMA -3

Of Course it's the match review.  Look, we played well. If that calms you down, it should not. We need to win to show for it. No matter how many chances are created, until they are put away. Real Madrid were, by far the second best side today. But, they won. Maybe that's because of the VAR decision, but we need to understand that we should have been at least 3-1 up at that point. There's no excuse for that kind of finishing, in an El Clasico, the PREMIER FOOTBALLING SHOWCASE. At least it used to be. Now, there were some things more alarming, and some good ones, but as has been the case this season, finishing remains to be sharp. So, what are the even more negative things ? 1. Busquets. Yeah. I said it before, I will say it again, De Jong and Busquets can't play together. They do not complement each other. For details, click  here  . 2. The day Koeman was appointed, I had one, singular doubt about him. his passiveness. That is what we saw today. Yes, starting Pedri a...
