Winning The Champion's League: Lineups For Every Round- (Final)

Final-

Oh how sweet that night that would be when Barcelona fight for the trophy with big ears in Portugal, after defeating the best teams. Let's look at how we can actually conquer that night.

1. Paris Saint-Germain - The favorites to go through that group, although not in my view, Paris have some serious talent coming forward. Neymar, Mbappe, Icardi, Di Maria, Cavani can all rip through defenses. This is all fine, but they lack some depth in midfield, which is Barcelona's strongest point ( Or should be) Again, a good amount of defensive options and a decent goalkeeper make this a difficult team to beat. Neymar and Mbappe's attitude will leave a slender lead shattered. We need to outscore them, because there's no way we are keeping a cleansheet if they are in a good shape.

Lineup- Ter Stegen, Roberto, Pique, Lenglet, Alba, Busquets, Rakitic, Messi, Dembele, Ansu, Suarez

I hope I could have dropped Busquets, but his mere presence is huge. We cannot trust a young player to not shatter under pressure of the Champion's League Final. Rakitic too is in the lineup for the same reason. Messi and Suarez have to be in the lineup and Dembele's spped will be handy. As much as we say, We have no choice but to play Ansu, because Messi has to play in midfield to break down defense. And we cannot loose a winger for that purpose. This all amounts to be a solid team, which can handle pressure well, which knows how to act at any moment.

2. Atletico De Madrid- According to me, the toughest opponent we can get, and the final won't be pretty then. Tackles flying around, robust defending and flying saves, it would be a total show of defense and Barca are not quite like Real Madrid to score a goal out of nowhere. Barca need to build up and against a side like Atleti, we will need to select properly and all players will need to be crisp in passing and attacking in approach.

Lineup- Ter Stegen, Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Alba, Busquets, De Jong, Vidal, Messi, Suarez, Dembele.

It was tricky choosing this lineup and I may have picked someone totally wrong but this is my opinion.
Semedo is included for his ability to defend counter attacks, De Jong and Busquets will form a solid partnership to stop, breathe and create. Vidal will provide energy and rhythm to the team and the front three will try to wreak havoc.

3. Atalanta- Arguably the best attacking side in the 2019/20 season, Atalanta is a side to fear, especially with the fragile defense we have seen this season. More than PSG, more than Real Madrid, we should be ready for Atalanta, because Gasperini is a coach who knows how to bring the best out of players. They can attack in any way, right flank, left flank, Down the middle, Passing, long balls, dribbles, everything.

Lineup- Ter Stegen, Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Alba, Ansu, Vidal, Busquets, Dembele, Messi, Suarez

A 4-4-2 again, for entirely different reason though and tactically very different. We need to defend very well and find spaces not just that, we will need to be clinical in finishing. Yes, Atalanta is fragile too, but they do not give away many balls and they will create a lot of chances and will probably score a couple of goals too.

So, that's it !

Barca: A season to forget- Left Wing/ Midfielder

THE PLAYERS- I am not considering Coutinho and Griezmann Left Wingers. 1. Ansu Fati- An  astoundingly ridiculous revelation this season, Ansu Fati will surely be a major part any success we are * hoping * for. His speed and aggressiveness is always channeled and timed well. He can create something out of very little. This is the quality we were craving for, and we have got it in the form of Ansu.  2. Pedri- I know, he is not a first team member just yet, but that is not to say he won't recieve first time action. I think when Ansu needs rest, Pedri should get some starts against less physical sides like Villarreal. Conclusion- After two seasons after Neymar left, we finally have two very good wingers on both flanks. This is definitely good !

Barca: A season to forget- What needs to change ?

What needs to change, in order to win the champions league this August ? So, I can'y really talk about mentality because I am not aware of the happenings in the dressing room, so, let's talk about tactics. Formations and player roles.  TYPE 1- 4-1-2-1-2 narrow Goalkeeper- Ter Stegen two center backs- Pique and Lenglet/ Pique and Araujo Right back- Semedo Left back- Jordi Alba Holding Midfielder- Sergio Busquets Two Central Midfielders- Riqui Puig and Vidal/De Jong /Rakitic Attacking Midfielder- Messi Two strikers- Suarez and Griezmann/ Fati ( He can definitely play there)               This formation was used in the last five games of league and it was evident that it worked fine only when the opposition was not ultra defensive. Napoli, sadly, is ultra defensive. In this formation, the defence has usual work. In the midfield, Busquets has to stay deep and think attacking. He needs to put ball forward after intercepting passes or gettiing ball...

Barca-1 : RMA -3

Of Course it's the match review.  Look, we played well. If that calms you down, it should not. We need to win to show for it. No matter how many chances are created, until they are put away. Real Madrid were, by far the second best side today. But, they won. Maybe that's because of the VAR decision, but we need to understand that we should have been at least 3-1 up at that point. There's no excuse for that kind of finishing, in an El Clasico, the PREMIER FOOTBALLING SHOWCASE. At least it used to be. Now, there were some things more alarming, and some good ones, but as has been the case this season, finishing remains to be sharp. So, what are the even more negative things ? 1. Busquets. Yeah. I said it before, I will say it again, De Jong and Busquets can't play together. They do not complement each other. For details, click  here  . 2. The day Koeman was appointed, I had one, singular doubt about him. his passiveness. That is what we saw today. Yes, starting Pedri a...
