My Unpopular Opinions

 1. Kimmich is the best midfielder right now. 

I have said this many times, and I will say it again. He is better than De Bryune, better than Muller, better than Thiago, better than De Jong. He is the best midfielder right now. 

2. Man City is still better than Liverpool. 

Okay, they won the premier league with record distance. They won the premier league with the most games to spare. But, the way they play is far off worse than Man City. They have been consistent and what I mean by that is that they have been consistent in finding a way to win in a match that they did not deserve to. The same would go for the Real Madrid side for the last  5 years. But they were better. 

3. Bundesliga is not an inferior league.

Farmer’s league, as the legends say it. Rubbish. They haven’t seen Bundesliga then. The attacking is better than Premier League, defending is average, but who cares ? Midfields are on par with La Liga (maybe not)

4. Mbappe isn’t all that great. 

Maybe  you are thinking, he saw just the final. I watch many of his matches, and I fail to understand the aspect of his game which attracts the pundits and fans. Yes, he is a nice little fast guy who can finish well. But he ain’t no Messi (nor Ronaldo for that matter).

5. Luka Modric is nowhere near the best midfielders of the decade. 

Maybe he is a little unfortunate to play at the same time as Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Kroos, Muller, Kevin De Bryune, and an endless list of greats, but he is not the pedigree of these geniuses. 

6. Lewandowski is no one compared to prime Suarez or Ibra.

This is not an unpopular opinion... wait, it is. I do not know why, but Lewandowski is being considered the ‘best player’ right now. Do they understand what that means ? Alright now he may have been the best striker out there and stop right there, because Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar are all attackers. 

7. Lionel Messi should not leave Barcelona right now(or ever).

This is not an unpopular opinion for Barcelona fans, but outside of that (huge) circle, everybody thinks he should move to pastures anew. He needs a new challenge. But you know what, La Liga was and is the best league in the world. Not only my emotions, but also my thoughts tell the same thing. He should not leave. This wasn’t meant to end this way Leo. This fairy tale should not end with a cliffhanger. 


That is a small number of my unpopular opinions and I have many of them so be ready !

Barca: A season to forget- Left Wing/ Midfielder

THE PLAYERS- I am not considering Coutinho and Griezmann Left Wingers. 1. Ansu Fati- An  astoundingly ridiculous revelation this season, Ansu Fati will surely be a major part any success we are * hoping * for. His speed and aggressiveness is always channeled and timed well. He can create something out of very little. This is the quality we were craving for, and we have got it in the form of Ansu.  2. Pedri- I know, he is not a first team member just yet, but that is not to say he won't recieve first time action. I think when Ansu needs rest, Pedri should get some starts against less physical sides like Villarreal. Conclusion- After two seasons after Neymar left, we finally have two very good wingers on both flanks. This is definitely good !

My Top Ten: Total Fiction- Four

No. 4. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.  Yeah, it is not in my top three. I am disappointed too, but I can assure you, I like this book very much, it is just that I like three books more. It is Paulo Coelho's best work by far and understandably. According to him, it is based on Wisdom. It is more about dreams and how to chase them. Plot- A boy has had a dream, there is a treasure below the pyramids in Egypt and he sets off to find it. Oh, how simple that seems and yet I have barely seen a novel more difficult to get the true essence. His journey is filled with extra-ordinary coincidences and incidents, making the journey adventurous and also giving a scope for some wisdom to be shared. A book like no other, This is the first book I'd recommend to instill a reading habit.  Characters- Santiago....Melchizedek....the alchemist....the shopkeeper.... all of these characters have a separate soul. A person we could identify, not one we could relate with the author in any way. This is a...
