#4 Which Age Group Dominates Football Today ?

There are loads of quality players out there, but only a bunch of them stand apart from the rest. This is inevitably due to their consistency. We will try to pick out the best age group out of these three- Below 24, 24-30 and above 30.

Today's the day. We'll lineup the best XI on the planet and decide upon the most dominant age group in that XI.

Jan Oblak-

He is clearly the best goalkeeper in the world. His shot-stopping abilities are unparalleled and he is as consistent as one can get.

Ricardo Perreira-

This might be controvercial, but he has been good both defensively and in attack. While TAA has arguably been better at attacking, his defense needs to improve to make this list.

Van Dijk-

He has been arguably the best center back for two years now, so it is safe to include him here. I guess nobody is questioning it.

Sergio Ramos-

That arguably is just because of this man. He has shined for over a decade in the all white of Madrid, and is more than capable of doing so for a few more years.

Alphonso Davies-

Not only the best left back, he is the best full back on the planet right now. He is fast (not only fast) he can dribble any defender in the world (it would be fun to watch him face Van Dijk). He has not been dribbled past many times. He is solid and confident with the ball.

Joshua Kimmich-

He has been the best holding defender in the world this year. Better than Busquets. Okay, he is not loved, but watch him from a neutral's perspective. He is a joy to watch.

Kevin De Bryune-

De Bryune provided 20 assists in the premier League this year. And all of them were good to see. A good or a clever ball, perfectly reaching it's target and boom, a goal. It's been a great season for him. But a trophy-less one.

Thomas Muller-

Thomas Muller one upped Kevin De Bryune with a 21 assist haul this season. Muller is also on his way to collect his second treble with Bayern.

Lionel Messi-

As bad as Barcelona have been at times, Messi has always shown his quality and he did it this year 'round too. 21 assists and 25 goals in La Liga alone. That is insane.

Cristiano Ronaldo-

Everybody (including me) thought Cristiano was done and will move to MLS when we saw his form until December. But then.... he scored in 11 consecutive games, scored a total of 31 goals in the serie A and also scored 4 goals in the UCL. Really criminal to mark this man off.

Robert Lewandowski-

A striker has to score goals. Lewandowski has scored more goals than anyone else this season. So he has to be here. Lewandowski also adds a certain edge to the team like Suarez.

Here we are then, done with it.

Below 24-  ONE

24- 30 - FIVE

Above 30- FIVE

The oldies share the top spot, such a shame. But we should also consider that the younger players have not reached their peak and may develop into a player even better than the ones now playing.

My Semi-Final predictions-

PSG v/s Leipzig

I do not think PSG will be able to bottle this one. They are with Neymar and Mbappe who are fit, Di MAria at the top of his game, Icardi could come on and grab a goal,  Marquinhos is good enough for Poulsen. I am going for 3-0 to PSG, with a goal and an assist for Neymar.

Bayern V/S  ManCity  Lyon

I love how Lyon is beating giants after giants. But their journey stops here. Bayern are very good and they will make Lyon desperate for the final whistle. I predict a 5-1 in favour of Bayern, with Lyon grabbing a penalty early on and Bayern can't stop scoring. Do not pannic if the score goes two digit !

Barca: A season to forget- Left Wing/ Midfielder

THE PLAYERS- I am not considering Coutinho and Griezmann Left Wingers. 1. Ansu Fati- An  astoundingly ridiculous revelation this season, Ansu Fati will surely be a major part any success we are * hoping * for. His speed and aggressiveness is always channeled and timed well. He can create something out of very little. This is the quality we were craving for, and we have got it in the form of Ansu.  2. Pedri- I know, he is not a first team member just yet, but that is not to say he won't recieve first time action. I think when Ansu needs rest, Pedri should get some starts against less physical sides like Villarreal. Conclusion- After two seasons after Neymar left, we finally have two very good wingers on both flanks. This is definitely good !

Barca: A season to forget- What needs to change ?

What needs to change, in order to win the champions league this August ? So, I can'y really talk about mentality because I am not aware of the happenings in the dressing room, so, let's talk about tactics. Formations and player roles.  TYPE 1- 4-1-2-1-2 narrow Goalkeeper- Ter Stegen two center backs- Pique and Lenglet/ Pique and Araujo Right back- Semedo Left back- Jordi Alba Holding Midfielder- Sergio Busquets Two Central Midfielders- Riqui Puig and Vidal/De Jong /Rakitic Attacking Midfielder- Messi Two strikers- Suarez and Griezmann/ Fati ( He can definitely play there)               This formation was used in the last five games of league and it was evident that it worked fine only when the opposition was not ultra defensive. Napoli, sadly, is ultra defensive. In this formation, the defence has usual work. In the midfield, Busquets has to stay deep and think attacking. He needs to put ball forward after intercepting passes or gettiing ball...

Barca-1 : RMA -3

Of Course it's the match review.  Look, we played well. If that calms you down, it should not. We need to win to show for it. No matter how many chances are created, until they are put away. Real Madrid were, by far the second best side today. But, they won. Maybe that's because of the VAR decision, but we need to understand that we should have been at least 3-1 up at that point. There's no excuse for that kind of finishing, in an El Clasico, the PREMIER FOOTBALLING SHOWCASE. At least it used to be. Now, there were some things more alarming, and some good ones, but as has been the case this season, finishing remains to be sharp. So, what are the even more negative things ? 1. Busquets. Yeah. I said it before, I will say it again, De Jong and Busquets can't play together. They do not complement each other. For details, click  here  . 2. The day Koeman was appointed, I had one, singular doubt about him. his passiveness. That is what we saw today. Yes, starting Pedri a...
