There are loads of quality players out there, but only a bunch of them stand apart from the rest. This is inevitably due to their consistency. We will try to pick out the best age group out of these three- Below 24, 24-30 and above 30.
First of all, let's lineup our XI for the separate age groups.
For Today, 30+
We'll be having a 4-2-4 today.
Manuel Neuer -
At the ripe age of 34, Manuel Neuer is more than just a decent goalkeeper. His technical ability is unquestioned, along with his shotstopping skills, which have improve from the last couple of seasons. He has grown mature in a good way, which is always a good sign in goalkeepers.
Dani Alves-
HOW CAN A PLAYER FROM LOWER LEAGUES TAKE A SPOT ? Relax, it is the most decorated player in the history of the sport we are talking about. He is still capable of taking the right back spot in any top team, bar none. He is too good a player not to include.
Sergio Ramos-
How could he not be here ? One of the most dominant center backs in the history of football, he is still vital to a club of Real Madrid's stature, and that speaks volumes.
Gerrard Pique-
Pique is undoubtedly very talented and has played fantastically, year after year. But it finally seems his wheels are rolling off.
Jordi Alba-
It may be favourable on the first look, but it is really dreadful to see two of your best players in the oldest bracket. It is a no brainer by the way.
Sergio Busquets-
Here we go again. Except the last match, I do not think he has had a bad outing. He has been outstanding all season and he continues to be a joy to the eyes of every football fan.
David Silva-
David Silva has been in the center of the park for Man City for too long now and has agreed a deal with Lazio now. He has been brilliant all career and deserves this spot.
Lionel Messi-
He will be here even if he sits on the bench. But, apparently, he is too busy scoring and assisting. He has been very good this season and deserves all the respect. A disappointing end to the season should not mean underwhelming from this man's side.
Robert Lewandowski-
Another player who has been in top form this season, Lewandowski has scored 50+ goals in a season for the first time in his career, and I ain't sure if he is gonna repeat this season.
Karim Benzema-
The Madrid striker has been exceptional through the last decade and this year he has really taken his chance and has become indispensable to Real. Again, staying at Madrid for all those years is not a joke.
Cristiano Ronaldo-
It is, however, for this man. He scored a breathtaking 450 goals in 438 goals for Real Madrid. That would have been unimaginable for many, but Ronaldo is not satisfied and has moved to Juventus and has scored upwards of 70 goals with the old lady in the past two seasons.
That's it for today.
